What's that logo all about?
I teach physical and mental, exercise. For all shapes and sizes. For everyone. It's what I do to make a living
One of my own personal goals is to inspire people to improve their own fitness and wellbeing. Why? Well because, this is proven to have a positive impact on not just us, but the people closest to us. That’s why I’ve used The Endless Knot of Buddhism in the logo. It’s a powerful symbol representing intertwining wisdom and compassion. I think it expresses my intentions perfectly. This is where I am right now. Or as we say in Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing, "here am I".
What does MindBody Functional Trainer mean?
I use the term ‘MindBody’ to salute the fact that minds are connected to bodies. We can work our minds and bodies consciously, as well as simultaneously. In modern terms this is known as mindful movement. There are thousands of messages sent by receptors all over our bodies via a network of information transport systems, to our brains which signal responses and cause reactions to other systems in our bodies which produce hormones and stimuli and make us move, feel good and sleep better. We are literally designing a body type by the things we do, with our bodies! Amazing.
When I use the term 'Functional Trainer' I am referring to the functional fitness goals we can achieve together. These goals will support the way your body moves during your everyday activities as well as during the other forms of exercise you enjoy. Simples.
